3.4 billion year old fossils
Came across this interesting article:

Scientists claim bacteria fossils discovered in Port Hedland are more than 3.4 billion years old.

3.4 billion year old fossils

Of course, all dating methods for fossils are fundamentally flawed so it couldn't possibly be true (just thought I would get that one in first Tongue).

RE: 3.4 billion year old fossils
It's interesting that they used sulphur instead of oxygen, although the Christians might take it as proof that Satan is tricking us lol.

Regardless, the age of them means they were around just over 1 billion years after the Earth first formed, in the Archaean period. Very nice find!
Also, given that the last common ancestor is estimated to have arisen only up to about 3.8 billion years ago this would have been one of the first life forms on Earth (relatively speaking anyway), having evolved for only about 400 million years, at most.

In the end, it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures, the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

3.4 billion years...pft the world is only 6000 years old. All trickery from the devil.

If everyone was thinking the same thing, then no one would be thinking at all.
