An Intra-Christianity Argument: The Death of Miracles
I've been criticized lately for talking about miracles around some of the other people at my school. Today someone threw scripture at me, I didn't bother to remember it, but it had to do with the idea that after the Messiah leaves, there would no longer be any more miracles. And you know what?

He was right, I lost...Or did I?

Matthew 28:20
" teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age." - Emmanuel, Damn I'm good.

So, although the boy today was right in that after Christ is gone the miracles shall end, he is wrong in that the miracles have ended. By implying that after the Messiah leaves the miracles will be gone, and by stating that He is with us until the end of the age, the writers intended to say that miracles are always here and are governed by God.

Probably 1 Corinthians 13:8-10. It doesn't really support the views of your interlocutors, though they evidently think it does.

It seems close, but it definitely wasn't this. The scripture he quoted was directly linked to the Messiah. I'll call up my Great-Aunt, she's Protestant and I found notes all over her Bible about the "Death of Miracles". I'll bring it up casually, if I don't she might think I'm switching to her church....

There isn't anything other than this, to my knowledge. I'm guessing your friend was simply confused and misquoting.

It's possible, but he's not my friend, lol. I have more adults as friends than I do with people my own age.
