"Be perfect, as thy Father in Heaven is."
Isn't the Bible very much of an instructing guide? It's weird but for a long time I couldn't really figure what it really was.

Isn't it a guide to happiness? Happiness is valued very high by humans right, and if you wouldn't feel happy with God taking care of your life, would you really want God. Right, you wouldn't.

God must feel great. So you must be too.

Should be "thy father in Heaven", not "thou". [/pedantic]

Besides the mistake of declension, I nonetheless don't think I understand what he's trying to say.

Answer to both: no. The bible is a collection of ancient liturgy, legislation, propaganda, poetry, history, and mythology from 800 BC to 200 AD; written anonymously in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, compiled by various Catholics into a single book.

So...therefore anyone who would be unhappy with your god controlling their life is fine to do/believe whatever else makes them happy? This is perhaps one of the most tolerant statements on Christian theology I have ever seen.
