I'm not a Buddhist and do eat meat but I always think of the animal it came from and how it may have lived and died. I try to make ethical choices regarding if it was a free range chicken, egg, cow etc. For me it isn't just a piece of meat or a burger from a fast food restaurant and I see the animal it came from. May sound a bit flakey to some and I understand that.

I do like the Buddhist way of respecting critters of all shapes and sizes.
