RE: Judaism is a part of christianity or no?
They are related because Christianity came from Judaism. Jesus was a Jew and early in the christian church christianity was considered a sect Judaism. It wasn't until later that it became considered its own religion.

Yes, the question should actually be inversed to read Is Christianity a part of Judaism? And even then the answer will not be a straight yes or no option.

I think this is a question of inclusiveness in part. I suspect that we will see more dialogue between religions in the future, without each losing their distinct natures. Which maybe is not the same as inclusiveness.

Judaism and Christianity are two separate religions with a common ancestry. For example, Christianity has the Trinity (a fundamental concept) which is absent from Judaism. I agree that there will be more dialogue between religions in future.

You hope. For if it does not happen, what is our future?

No, no, no. Christianity can be viewed as a continued kind of Judaism, although Messianic Judaism sees that there was a Christ, as do Catholic Jews.

RE: Judaism is a part of christianity or no?
hello all,
I am new to this site, and I am interested in possibly asking someone of the Jewish faith some general questions about their beliefs. If someone could assist me with this or give me some suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Gardentech

RE: Judaism is a part of christianity or no?
Yes, I think Judaism is a part of christianity.Actually,Judaism and Christianity are two closely related Abrahamic religions that are in some ways parallel to each other and in other ways fundamentally divergent in theology and practice. Whereas the article on the Judeo-Christian tradition emphasizes continuities and convergences between the two religions, this article emphasizes that Judaism and Christianity each have widely diverging views of their respective relationship to the other, and of elements they have in common, such as the Bible and God.
