RE: New Here
I'm detecting a pattern with a lot of these "new members"

-A lot of threads here are started by people using what sound like real names.
-These threads are all very generic in content and make no reference whatsoever to the actual subject of the forum -- ergo they could be posted in the intros section of ANY FORUM ON THE INTERNET and not seem out of place.
-Their sigs contain commercial links.

Examples:
http://www.religionforums.org/thread-1937.html
http://www.religionforums.org/thread-1938.html
http://www.religionforums.org/thread-1973.html
http://www.religionforums.org/thread-1908.html
http://www.religionforums.org/thread-1738.html

I suspect none of these posters have any intention of contributing anything to any discussion on this forum, and in fact I suspect they are some form of spambot.

Yeah, I'm getting the same idea. Cheap DVDs, kayaks, etc. Most of these members are definitely spambots.

Thank you. Good catch.

The ads have been removed and the user names banned.

The IP addresses are all from New Delhi. Unfortunately they are dynamic making it pointless to block them.
