Rats!
Rats!
also called: A Psychological Study in Intentional Spilling
10/20/16 e.v.
----------------------------------
Do you know what it means to be alone?
I don’t mean bereft of companionship
(Such would be a relatively welcome alternative). No.
Rather, I mean when all belief is meaningless,
Including the belief in lack of belief.
In an endless sea of nothingness I cling to
The wreckage of my belief in Thelema,
Like a drowning rat that fastens itself to
The evanescing vestiges of a submerging ship.
Every day, more of the flotsam sinks and
There is less to hold on to...

What is is and is not;
The one as true as the other,
Making it Truly False:
Passionately insistent on nothing:
Rubbish concept at the dawn of interrogation:
A bitter lie, upon its first step into that beguiling army called Thoughts.
I seem to be alone on the empty path.

Tired. Heretical. Excoriated.
Anathema. Bypassed. Yearning. Solo. Stolid.

Flowing to a final Point,
Then that Point wisely disappears.
Chryselephantine laughter echoes outward into the dream.

RE: Rats!
No one can cross the Abyss.
Everyone must cross the Abyss.
Is said crossing only symbolic?
For God is still.

--------------------------------------------------
This passage represents the transition between the bondage to complexity and the freedom in absolute simplicity. Simplicity is holiness, holiness is the simple. The purely simple made restricted and attached to the intricately complex is the formula of the Ego. Attachment is born of fear; it is stagnation and the antithesis of Love.
