Should faith motivate behaviour?
I tried to initiate a discussion on these lines with this post http://www.religionforums.org/showthread.php?tid=685, but I got controversy because I posted about UN development goals.

Sorry, I am just inept and not realizing that it would be controversial. Sad It was motivated because there was a thread asking the question whether we needed God. Please let me try to refocus with yhis one.

Can people please post their belief, practice or ideas about whether they think and/or feel that religious faith should motivate behaviour. Myself, I think that Christian belief should motivate generous behaviour toward others and that it is insufficient that it motivate worshipping behaviours. It think faith demands we try to act Christ-like in addition to believing something.

RE: Should faith motivate behaviour?
Your behavior should motivate you to your given faith.

"Perhaps you've seen them only then you've just believed
And when they're fleeing then you feel you've been deceived
But in that feeling something ancient's been retrieved"
