Which food would be tastier, Heaven's or Hell's?
I was brought up with Hindu belief; good deeds will take us to Swarg (heaven) and bad deeds will take us to Hell where there is a pan with boiling oil and bodies are roasted. When I grew up I realised, oil pan is present in Christian Hell as well. Which other Hell has the oil pan? It makes me wonder, Hell's food must be tastier than Heaven. Human pakoras, roasted human...

Are you suggesting that the consumption of fellow humans would taste good? I'm aware that you are probably making some meta-point about disregarding social mores, or the like, but "YUCK!".

Is Hell only for humans, not other animals?

The New Guineans think 'long pig' is pretty tasty. Many of the Pacific Islanders used to, that is until the Christians told them it was wrong.

I wonder if human flesh, other than the fact it's human flesh, might actually be good. Do we have good taste? Haha, I kind of wonder.

As for the article: learned about this painting's maker not too long ago on TV Tropes.

They made a really good case about him being one of the early modern founders of body horror...

I hope that you won't think less of me, Flipper, if I just take your word on that. Wink

Bosch is the man! That link doesn't show the whole picture, at least for me. Here's the link I use:

I think the "Tree Man", the hollowed out man with freaky arms, is the worst of the body horrors in the Garden of Earthly Delights though, haha.

RE: Which food would be tastier, Heaven's or Hell's?
this reminds me of a joke
A saintly and pious man passes away. After he is judged as righteous, God, himself, says "Hey -- you want to see what you avoided?" The man says "OK, show me the eternal punishment." He has a glimpse of hell. He sees suffering, sure, but he sees incredible amounts of delicious food and countless souls gorging themselves on delicacies he can not even imagine. Afterwards, God says, "OK -- let's go up to heaven now." When they arrive, the man sits down with God to a plate that has on it a PB+J sandwich and a celery stalk.

The man, humble and proper, says nothing for a while, but eventually his curiosity gets the better of him.

"Lord of the Universe, he asks quietly, "why is the only food here this PB+J with celery?"

God says, "It doesn't make much sense to cook for just the 2 of us."

i doubt that things will be like they are now. it is going to be something we can not imagine. i don't imagine food is in the equasion.

food is part of the overall life cycle on earth. it creates harmony. fish eat algae. big fish eat little fish. birds catch fish. so do we. and so on.

it could be the same we never know. but it is doubtful.

My question was light hearted. I have another problem. I am a vegetarian. Should I need to change my diet in hell (I am not bothered about heaven as most probably I am not going there).
