The Jewel of Belief and Guidance and Guides On earth

If one looks at the world around them, it is easy to see that there is a created world. From this it is natural to ask such questions as "Who or what created all of this?” One must then ask "What am I doing here, what is my goal and what guidelines should I follow to live my life in the best possible way?”

The Creator

"Oh my Lord, although your power is visible, people do not stand in awe of you. They have ignored you, and out of ignorance, they [color=#000000]have tried to measure you. They like you to your creation, and by not knowing who you are; they are not worshipping you." From Imam Ritha, a Pure Guide from God
People are not perfect and in their imperfection attribute characteristics to God that are incorrect and filled with misguidance. But surely God, the Magnificent is far above what people make up in their own imaginations about Him. No matter what the ordinary people say, it does not change the Reality of His existence and His creation.

God's Pure Guidance

So, God in His wisdom created pure Guides who were perfect in knowledge of Him, His nature and His creation. In this way, mankind would have a constant and consistent point of reference telling them how to live in His world. This way, people could live their lives in a way that would enable them to believe, think and live in a way that would benefit them the most in this life and the Next. This guidance was pre-programmed into people before they entered this physical world. But in this world that is often chaotic and confusing and a source of misinformation, people lost sign of the real Truth and started following their own ideas and ways.

God's Pure Guidance

His pure Messengers and Guides
So, as part of His plan, God sent Pure Guides - who would be sent as messengers at various times and places to different groups of people to guide them back to the universal and unchanging Truth. Some came with books from Him and reflected the words from those books in their speech and their lives. Others lived their lives according to the books from God but did not deliver a book in book form.
The role of these Guides on the other hand is to direct people to the Messengers, the messenger’s message and to protect God's Truth from innovations. As God tells us in the Holy Qur'an describing the role of the Prophet Mohammad:
"I begin in the name of God the Merciful the Compassionate
I (Mohammad) deliver to you the messages of my Lord, and I offer you good advice and I know from God what you do not know" (Qur'an: The Elevated Plces: 62).
The basic message of all the Guides and Messengers was the Oness of God and how to lead a life that would be pleasing to Him and in harmony with his world for mans own benefit. He is the One and only Creator, only He could understand such things and only He could bestow Pure Guidance on His creations. Because He is Just and Kind, He did not leave people wandering on their own without guidance, without knowing the path that leads back to Him and without knowing His way. And of course, these Messengers and Guides had to be infallible, without sin or misinformation of any kind. Without this quality, they would be capable of giving wrong direction and that would defeat the whole purpose of their existence. As God instructs us in the Qur'an"
"I begin in the Name of God the Merciful the Compassionate
Whoever obeys the Apostle obeys Allah" (Qur'an AL-Nisaa’ (the women): 80)
Without a doubt, God has sent these Infallibles throughout time to remind people of Him. He sent them to direct people away from worshiping His creation to worshipping Him and form the obedience to his creation an obedience to Him.

continued.....
The Guidance

The Guides
As there were Prophets and Messengers throughout time, there were also Guides throughout time. Their roles were to constantly redirect people to the Messengers and the Messages they brought from God - to propagate the Truth and to show people how to live their lives in perfect accordance with it. The Prophet Mohammad, `the seal of the prophets has delivered the book of revelation and the holy Quran. Unfortunately, people can distort it in their own minds and actions.
"I begin in the name of God the Merciful the Compassionate
...and there is a guide for every people" (Qur'an: Al-Ra’ad (the thunder): 7)
These Pure Guides also lived their lives exactly in the way God directed people to do in the Qur'an. They served as constant purifiers of the original message and served as fountains of pure knowledge to the people in every time and age. They constantly re-directed the people back to Believe in God and His eternal, unchanging message. This is confirmed in the Holy Qur'an where God says:
"In the Name of God the Merciful the Compassionate
And we made of them Imams to guide our command... and they were certain of our communications" (Qur'an: Al-Anbiya’ (the prophets): 73)
So today, in these troubled times filled with injustice and inequity, humanity must as always turn to God. The means of accessing this guidance is through God's blessing, a pure heart and the tools of the Qur'an, the Messengers and the Pure Guides. God, in the Holy Qur'an defines these concepts by saying through the Prophet Mohammad:
“In the name of God the Merciful the Compassionate
It is he who has sent down the book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical. Then as for those in whose hearts there is deviation, they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking polytheism, and seeking giving it their own interpretation but none knows its interpretation except God and those firmly rooted in knowledge" (Qur'an: Al-Imran (the family of Imran):7)

What We See Today?
People today are just following their own desires and their own brain as a tool that they use in order to vote for and elect someone to become
‘Their” president or someone that represents them as an individual nation. However, as a true believer, one should remember that this whole universe is under the control of the one and only god, and it is only he who is in charge of this universe and to him shall be the return. As such, it is only god that has the right to position someone that represents him in this world. It’s amazing that many people argue against this point, but the question that rises here is, has anyone ever heard of a prophet or a messenger been chosen or elected by people? Another point that would also be raised is the fact that no-human is perfect, unless he is “the one” chosen by god. Otherwise, if humans were perfect, let it be in any way, the world wouldn’t have been divided into many nations and tribes. Thus it becomes clear that it is Gods authority.
Furthermore, all doctrines have confessed and ratified that this is the end of time, the end of the world… this is the time when the Holy Anticipated Reformer shall emerge and fill the world with peace and justice, after it had been filled with oppression and injustice…
How and in what manner is the anticipated reformer coming with? The answer is, in the same manner as any prophet or a messenger came with.
Moreover, this holy character has been mentioned in the Muslim Shiaa doctrines, Muslim Sunni, Christianity and Jewish doctrines. However, in each doctrine the holy reformer has been mentioned in different ways that is:
Jewish: Elijah
Christianity: Jesus Christ:
Islam: Al-Mahdi
This character has also been mentioned in other faiths, however, without mentioning or specifying a certain person.
The Awaited Reformer has EMERGED and is calling you to United under the Banner of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), the Banner of Allegiance to Allah, the Banner of Faith, justice and Equity.
Imam Ahmad Al Hassan, mentioned in the will of the prophet (PBUH)during the hour of his death to Ali (AS) and also mentioned in many ahadeeth from ahl al bayt (AS). Messenger from Jesus to the Jews, Messenger from Imam Al Mahdi to the Muslims and Messenger from Elijah to the JewsHoping and asking that may God the almighty reveal the truth to you that you may follow it.
If you have any further questions about this Holy Call, please feel free to e-mail or ask any questions here and we will be at your service Insha-Allah

There are a number of people of the Islamic faith posting on this web site. But delivery of their message to English speakers is impaired by their limited fluency in that langauge. Are there any Muslims or persons familiar with Islam here to help these persons express themselves better in English? English is a sufficiently flexible language to allow communication of basic ideas with only limited literacy but subtleties are lost. This impedes understanding of the explanations.

RE: appearance of imam al mahdi (AS)
Who Is Imam Mahdi?

Note: Please do not confuse Imam Mahdi with Hadhrat Isa (Jesus) Alayhis Salaam. They are two different persons, and both will come during the last days. According to Hadeeth, Imam Mahdi will appear first, and Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will appear during Imam Mahdi's lifetime. Furthermore, only Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will be able to kill Dajjal (the "anti-Christ").

The term "MAHDI" is a title meaning "The Guided one".

Hadhrat Abdullah bin Mas'ood (R.A.) says that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "This world will not come to an end until one person from my progeny does not rule over the Arabs, and his name will be the same as my name." (Tirmidhi)

Hadhrat Ali (R.A.) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "Even if only a day remains for Qiyamah to come, yet Allah will surely send a man from my family who will fill this world with such justice and fairness, just as it initally was filled with oppression." (Abu Dawood)

His Features

Hadhrat Abu Saeed Khudri (R.A.) relates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "Al Mahdi will be from my progeny. His forehead will be broad and his nose will be high. He will fill the world with justice and fairness at a time when the world will be filled with oppression. He will rule for seven years."

Other ahadeeth inform us that:

* He will be tall
* He will be fair complexioned
* His facial features will be similar to those of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)
* His character will be exactly like that of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)
* His father's name will be Abdullah
* His mother's name will be Aamina
* He will speak with a slight stutter and occasionally this stutter will frustrate him causing him to hit his hand upon his thigh.
* His age at the time of his emergence will be forty years
* He will receive Knowledge from Allah.

His Emergence and Rule

Hadhrat Umme Salmah (R.A.) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, " After the death of a Ruler there will be some dispute between the people. At that time a citizen of Madina will flee (from Madinah) and go to Makkah. While in Makkah, certain people will approach him between Hajrul Aswad and Maqaame Ibraheem, and forcefully pledge their allegiance to him.

Thereafter a huge army will proceed from Syria to attack him but when they will be at Baida, which is between Makkah and Madina, they will be swallowed into the ground.

On seeing this, the Abdaals of Shaam as well as large numbers of people from Iraq will come to him and pledge their allegiance to him. Then a person from the Quraish, whose uncle will be from the Bani Kalb tribe will send an army to attack him, only to be overpowered, by the will of Allah. This (defeated) army will be that of the Bani Kalb. Unfortunate indeed is he who does not receive a share from the booty of the Kalb. This person (Imam Mahdi) will distribute the spoils of war after the battle. He will lead the people according to the Sunnat and during his reign Islam will spread throughout the world. He will remain till seven years (since his emergence). He will pass away and the Muslims will perform his Janazah salaat." (Abu Dawood)

According to a Hadeeth, Sayyidena Eesa (A.S.) will lead the Janaazah of Imam Mahdi (A.S.).

While the people will be pledging their allegiance to Imaam Mahdi, a voice from the unseen will call out:

"This is the representative of Allah,
The Mahdi, listen to him and obey him"

mahdi (AS) in Different Ahatith
(Traditions)

The Views of Muhyi-ad Din Ibn Arabi on the Infallibility of Imam mahdi (AS):

Ibn Arabi in his works "Futuhat Al-Makkiya" (The Meccan Revelations) says: "mahdi (AS), during his time is the sign of Allah for the people of the world. His position is like that of the Prophets' (Peace Be Upon Them) which is sometimes also possible for others to share."

In the Glorious Qur'an, Allah tells His Prophet (SAW): "Say, `this is my path. With sure knowledge, I call on you to have faith in Allah, I and my followers." (12:108)

mahdi (AS) is a follower of the Messenger. Therefore, just as the Messenger's invitation (to Islam) is free from any doubts an0d errors, the one who follows him is free from errors too. Rather, he treads the same path. Thus the Prophet (SAW) has said in this regard: "He treads on my path and is free from error."

And this is the same position of infallibility inviting towards the way of Allah.... (Ibn Arabi, "Futuhat Al-Makiyya" - vol. 3, p. 332)

Elsewhere in the same book, he writes: "The very being of mahdi (AS) is Mercy, just as the being of the Prophet (SAW) was Mercy."

In the Qur'an, Allah says: "We have not sent you forth but as a Mercy to mankind." (21:107)

Ibn Arabi further states: "Except for mahdi (AS), the Prophet (SAW) has not said so explicitly for any of the other Imams as he has said of mahdi (AS) that would come after him and would continue his mission and would do so impeccably." This proves that in stating the Divine decrees, mahdi (AS) is infallible. And of course sound reasoning (based on various historical and metaphysical proofs) testifies that the Prophet (SAW) of Allah was infallible in conveying this message." (Ibid., pp. 337-338)

In his book "Kamal ad-Din wa Tamam an-Ne'ma" - Sheikh Saduq quotes Imam Muhammad Baqir (AS) as saying: "The knowledge of Allah's Book and Prophet's (SAW) Tradition has blossomed in the heart of our mahdi (AS) like a perfect plant. Should anyone of you meet him, tell him "Greetings on you, the household of Mercy and Prophethood and the Fountain of Knowledge and Heir to the Messenger of Truth." (Kamal al-Din wa Tamam al-Ne'mah, vol. 2, p. 653)

Those who are critics of the ideology of Al-mahdi (AS), the Awaited One, mainly raise two questions:

a) How can it be possible for any man to live so long?

b) How can a child who has not yet reached maturity attain to the position of Imamate?

That this long a span of life is not in the least impossible. Very often we come across ordinary people who have very long life spans. Even regarding Prophet Noah (PBUH), the Qur'an says: "We sent forth Noah to his people, and he dwelt amongst them for one thousand years, less fifty." (29:14)

Even today science agrees that if a human being lives far off from the pressures and stress of the hustle bustle of a hectic city life, it would be possible for him to live a long and healthy life for hundreds of years without any anxieties and illness.

According to medical and social scientists, the automated and mechanized life of today's electronic age, limits the physical activities of human beings and is thus responsible for shortening his span of life. (Al-Najjar Abdul Wahhab, "Qisas al-Anbiyya, p. 98) Physicians believe that untimely deaths of people in advanced societies are due to abnormal diseases that afflict them.

Thus, if an individual takes good care and gives due attention to his health, it would be quite possible for him to live a reality life for centuries. Wouldn't this especially be possible for great and noble human beings who are completely under the protection of the Almighty Allah?

Allah states in the Qur'an regarding Prophet Yunus (PBUH):

"A whale swallowed him, for he had some amiss; and had he not devoutly praised Allah, he would have stayed in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. We threw him gravely ill upon a desolate shore and caused a gourd tree to grow over him. Thus, we sent him to a hundred thousand strong or more. They believed in him and we let them live in ease awhile." (37:142-148)

Regarding Prophet Isa (PBUH) Allah says:

Special specifications of Imam mahdi (AS)
PHP Code:
His title is "al-mahdi" which means "The Guided One."

His name is Muhammad Ibn al-Hasan (AS).

His lineagetraced back to al-Imam Ali (AS), isMuhammad Ibn al-Hasan Ibn Ali Ibn Muhammad Ibn Ali Ibn Musa Ibn Ja’far Ibn Muhammad Ibn Ali Ibn al-Husain Ibn Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS).
In the previous part, I provided extensive traditions from the six authentic Sunni collections concerning the fact that Imam mahdi (AS) who is different than Jesus (the messiah) WILL come and he is the descendant of Prophet and his daughter Fatimah. The traditions further illuminated the fact that Jesus (who was a great Prophet) will pray behind al-mahdi (who is an Imam). Also I gave the fatwa of Sunni scholars who stated that the belief in the "mahdi of the House of Prophet" is one of the Islamic tenets for "Ahl al-Sunnah wal Jama’a", and any one who denies it is either ignorant or an innovator.

In this part however, I would like to talk about some special specifications of Imam mahdi which is questionable for a majority of Sunnis. Imam mahdi’s Identification:

Shia believe that Imam mahdi is the only son of Imam Hasan al-Askari (the 11th Imam) who was born on 15th of Sha’ban 255/869 in Samarra, Iraq. He became the God-appointed Imam when his father was martyred in 260/874. Imam mahdi went into occultation (disappearance; leaving among people while they can’t recognize him) at the same time
