RE: FOUR living creatures
“The eyes of Jehovah are in every place, keeping watch upon the bad ones and the good ones.” (Proverbs 15:3)
Except that he [Jehovah] did not notice [or ignored] the very first incident of bad, which he could have fixed right away, instead of arriving in the scene much later to tell us he was watching! Cynical Jehovah, if you ask me! Religion survives with cash. Stop it! |

John’s vision refers to the passing away of “the former heaven and the former earth.” (Re 21:1; compare 20:11.) In the Christian Greek Scriptures, earthly governments and their peoples are shown to be subject to Satanic rule. (Mt 4:8, 9; Joh 12:31; 2Co 4:3, 4; Re 12:9; 16:13, 14) The apostle Paul referred to “the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places,” with their governments, authorities, and world rulers. (Eph 6:12) So the passing away of “the former heaven” indicates the end of political governments along with Satan and his demons. This identification of “the former heaven” harmonizes with the fact that shortly before the statement concerning the ‘former heaven having passed away,’ John had seen a vision of the complete defeat of Satan’s forces and the casting of Satan into “the abyss.” (Re 19:19–20:3) The earthly subjects of Satan’s rule are destroyed prior to his abyssing, as shown at Revelation 19:17, 18. (Compare 1Jo 2:15-17.) The description of a fiery destruction of heaven and earth at 2 Peter 3:7-12 corresponds to the visions in Revelation. Listen! Melodious, soul stirring, is the song of praise that the cherubs render to Jehovah: “Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is coming.” the threeness indicates intensity. The cherubs strongly affirm the holiness of Jehovah God. He is the Source and the ultimate Standard of holiness. He is also “the King of eternity,” always “the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (1 Timothy 1:17; Revelation 22:13) The cherubs take no rest periods as they proclaim the matchless qualities of Jehovah before all creation. |

RE: FOUR living creatures
For [the] eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous ones, and his ears are toward their supplication; but [the] face of Jehovah is against those doing bad things.” 1peter 3;12
There was no Jehovah in the NT. Kurios, dear. Not Jehovah! The NWT of the Russellites is as false a version as it could be. The NT originals were in Koine Greek, not Hebrew. Besides, the OT reference [Psalm 34:15] is faulty and wrong. What a ridiculous god who looks at evil and let go! Evil suits Jehovah/Yahweh. It's in his nature. The Devil wasn't as bad as Jehovah. Therefore, one day Yahweh will be taken to the Final Judgement and condemned to return to the "School for Junior Gods" to learn again the basics of what takes to be a nice god. ... Religion is a fanatical brain trying to switch off all the others. Religion survives with cash. Stop it! |

(03-11-2010 03:36 AM)julio Wrote: Kurios, dear. Not Jehovah! The manuscripts of the New Testament that we possess today are not the originals. The original manuscripts written by Matthew, John, Paul, and others were well used, and no doubt they quickly wore out. Hence, copies were made, and when those wore out, further copies were made. Of the thousands of copies of the New Testament in existence today, most were made at least two centuries after the originals were penned. It appears that by that time those copying the manuscripts either replaced the Tetragrammaton with Ku′ri‧os or Ky′ri‧os, the Greek word for “Lord,” or copied from manuscripts where this had been done. Knowing this, a translator must determine whether there is reasonable evidence that the Tetragrammaton did in fact appear in the original Greek manuscripts. For further information on this development, see the brochure The Divine Name That Will Endure Forever, published by Jehovah’s Witnesses, pages 23-27. The Tetragrammaton refers to the four letters, YHWH, that represent God’s name in Hebrew. It is commonly translated as Jehovah or Yahweh in English. When Jesus quoted the Old Testament or read from it, he used the divine name. (Deuteronomy 6:13, 16; 8:3; Psalm 110:1; Isaiah 61:1, 2; Matthew 4:4, 7, 10; 22:44; Luke 4:16-21) Jesus used God’s name and made it known to others. (John 17:6, 11, 12, 26) Jesus plainly stated: “I have come in the name of my Father.” He also stressed that his works were done “in the name of [his] Father.” In fact, Jesus’ own name means “Jehovah Is Salvation.”—John 5:43; 10:25. The divine name appears in its abbreviated form in the Greek Scriptures. At Revelation 19:1, 3, 4, 6, the divine name is embedded in the expression “Alleluia,” or “Hallelujah.” This expression literally means “Praise Jah, you people!” Jah is a contraction of the name Jehovah. |

RE: FOUR living creatures
Don't try to throw sand in my eyes, dear.
I have studied the issue in-depth over the years [even wrote a book "Discrediting Jehovah"]. The inclusion of "Jehovah" in the NWT NT is a DISHONEST subterfuge to support the Russellites' cult! Nothing more than that. Not to "perfect" the reading, by any means!! DISHONESTY in translation, as it is! Take a look at hundreds of translations from those "originals" and observe that none "corrects" kurios to Jehovah! The Russellites are dishonest in their NWT. Simple. There are HUNDREDS of well qualified scholars that wouldn't even dream to be that dishonest. The NWT is a good book for target practice, as I always say. Religion survives with cash. Stop it! |
