Passing away of former heaven and earth.

John’s vision refers to the passing away of “the former heaven and the former earth.” (Re 21:1; compare 20:11.)

In the Christian Greek Scriptures, earthly governments and their peoples are shown to be subject to Satanic rule.
(Mt 4:8, 9; Joh 12:31; 2Co 4:3, 4; Re 12:9; 16:13, 14) The apostle Paul referred to “the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places,” with their governments, authorities, and world rulers. (Eph 6:12)

So the passing away of “the former heaven” indicates the end of political governments along with Satan and his demons.

This identification of “the former heaven” harmonizes with the fact that shortly before the statement concerning the ‘former heaven having passed away,’ John had seen a vision of the complete defeat of Satan’s forces and the casting of Satan into “the abyss.” (Re 19:19–20:3)

The earthly subjects of Satan’s rule are destroyed prior to his abyssing, as shown at Revelation 19:17, 18. (Compare 1Jo 2:15-17.)

The description of a fiery destruction of heaven and earth at 2 Peter 3:7-12 corresponds to the visions in Revelation.

The NT originals were in Koine Greek, not Hebrew.
Besides, the OT reference [Psalm 34:15] is faulty and wrong.

The manuscripts of the New Testament that we possess today are not the originals. The original manuscripts written by Matthew, John, Paul, and others were well used, and no doubt they quickly wore out.
Hence, copies were made, and when those wore out, further copies were made.

When Jesus quoted the Old Testament or read from it, he used the divine name. (Deuteronomy 6:13, 16; 8:3; Psalm 110:1; Isaiah 61:1, 2; Matthew 4:4, 7, 10; 22:44; Luke 4:16-21)

Jesus used God’s name and made it known to others.
(John 17:6, 11, 12, 26) Jesus plainly stated: “I have come in the name of my Father.” He also stressed that his works were done “in the name of [his] Father.” In fact, Jesus’ own name means “Jehovah Is Salvation.”—John 5:43; 10:25.



The divine name appears in its abbreviated form in the Greek Scriptures. At Revelation 19:1, 3, 4, 6, the divine name is embedded in the expression “Alleluia,” or “Hallelujah.” This expression literally means “Praise Jah, you people!” Jah is a contraction of the name Jehovah.

I have studied the issue in-depth over the years

The inclusion of "Jehovah" in the NWT NT is a DISHONEST subterfuge to support the Russellites' cult!
Nothing more than that.
Not to "perfect" the reading, by any means!!
DISHONESTY in translation, as it is!
Take a look at hundreds of translations from those "originals" and observe that none "corrects" kurios to Jehovah!
The Russellites are dishonest in their NWT.
Simple.
There are HUNDREDS of well qualified scholars that wouldn't even dream to be that dishonest.
The NWT is a good book for target practice, as I always say.
